What You’ll Learn

The Impact Act of 2014 requires Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) to submit standardized assessment data through the MDS 3.0 regarding quality measures and SPADEs (standardized patient assessment data elements). With the new release of the data sets for the MDS 3.0 v1.18.11 set to launch in October this year, most of the changes are related to the SPADEs, including cognitive function, special services, treatments, interventions, medical conditions, comorbidities, impairments, and social determinants of health.

The MDS 3.0 Version 1.18.11 (effective October 1, 2023) will be used for the CY Q4 2023 (October – December 2023) data collection reporting period for the APU minimum data completion threshold FY 2025 SNF QRP determination.

Attendees of this seminar will learn how to:

1. Review SNF QRP measure items
2. Identify the new sections of the MDS 3.0 v1.18.11 in correlation with SPADEs
3. Use key tips to prepare for the release of MDS 3.0 v1.18.11 sections related to SPADEs
