- November 15, 2022
10:00 am EST - 11:30 am EST
Event Phone: (954) MDS-3-ADL
What You’ll Learn
CMS created a Targeted Probe and Education Program (TPE) to assist suppliers and providers in reducing claim denials with one-on-one education from a MAC (Medicare Administrative Contractor). The MACs work with facilities to improve the claims process by identifying and correcting errors before submission for payment. TPE’s focus on suppliers and providers having high claim error rates, unusual billing practices, and are a high risk to Medicare. Nursing facilities need to educate the interdisciplinary team ensuring their knowledge on the RAI reimbursement criteria and required documentation.
Attendees of this seminar will learn how to:
1) Describe a TPE audit and the process
2) Discuss documentation requirements to support skilled services
3) Create an audit and monitoring system for compliance with documentation
