What You’ll Learn
In October 2023, the MDS will again go through major changes. The MDS has become a much more complex process that requires the Nurse Assessment Coordinator (NAC) to:
- be knowledgeable of the RAI process,
- be astute in understanding reimbursement
- be skilled in leadership
- to understand regulations and
- to ensure the IDT are proficient in navigating these key areas.
One area of focus is to enhance the NACs role – becoming visible as key member of the administrative team along with the Administrator, DNS and Medical Director.
This webinar will identify changes in the NAC role that could begin to address this culture change and identify skills that will be needed start this movement. Attendees of this seminar will learn to:
1. Discuss knowledge, characteristics and skills required by the NAC.
2. Identify 2-3 key areas to enhance the NACs role as a leader of the RAI system.
3. Develop 2-3 ways to create increased visibility of the NACs as a leader.
