MDS Miscoding, QAPI, and Compliance and Ethics: Is there a link?
- December 13, 2022
10:00 am EST - 11:30 am EST
Event Phone: (954) MDS-3-ADL
What You’ll Learn
The guidance for the Requirements of Participation (RoP) was updated and went into effect on 10/24/2022. Miscoding the MDS can lead to inaccuracies that can affect care and reimbursement. Outside agencies may investigate whether a resident’s needs have been appropriately identified, care planned and actually delivered. How can the facility’s QAPI/QAA and Compliance and Ethics programs work to reduce the risks involved with MDS inaccuracies?
After attending this webinar, attendees will be able to:
- Review the RoP regulatory information for F641, F865, F867, and F895
- Identify 2 – 4 MDS miscoding issues and how they may affect the RAI process
- Recognize the importance of monitoring MDS accuracy and the RAI process by the facility’s QAPI/QAA and Compliance and Ethics Programs
