What You’ll Learn
Notification of Changes – F580, is a top 10 deficiency in the nation according to the Quality Certification and Oversite Reports (QCOR)’s survey deficiency citations of 2021. Deficiencies frequently cited for F580 identify the need for notification to the resident, resident representative and the physician when there are changes in treatment, accidents that have occurred or when there is significant change is their condition, as indicated. This session discusses the current regulation, how to identify a significant change in condition on the MDS and the needed revisions to the care plan. Are you adequately communicating pertinent changes to necessary team members? What processes do you have in place and are they enough?
After attending this webinar, attendees will be able to:
- Review the notification requirements of F580
- Discuss Significant Change rules according to the RAI manual and care plan revisions
- Identify areas of the RAI process that could lead to citations related F580
