What You’ll Learn
Comprehensive care planning continues to be in the top 10 list of deficiencies for the nation in 2021. Both the development/implementation (F656) and timely revision of care plans when changes occur in the resident’s condition (F657) are identified as deficiencies.
Care planning is the blueprint to providing person-centered care to each resident. Care plan development is initiated from admission and continues throughout the resident’s stay. Changes or revisions to the resident’s plan of care needs to occur real time. The RAI process provides a road map to the care needs for the resident. In this session, we will discuss the connection between the Minimum Data Set (MDS), CAA investigations and care plan development. Does your Interdisciplinary team know how to use their expertise for resident centered care planning?
After attending this webinar, attendees will be able to:
- Review requirements for F656 & F657
- Discuss the link between completion of the MDS, CAA investigation/analysis and care planning
- Identify areas of the RAI process that could lead to citations for F656 and F657
